Our Name
Qodeshiym is an ancient Hebrew word (קֹדֶשׁים)
It’s a Masculine plural Noun and is defined as “The set apart ones; holy ones.”
It’s a Plural form of the word qodesh.
Here’s a more lengthy explanation as shared in Strong’s Concordance #H6944 Holy things, holiness and sacredness. This word indicates things set aside for sacred use only; they are not to be put into common use, if so, they would become profaned and common, and not set apart. Some of the offerings of Yahuah were described as Most Holy (Leviticus 2:3).
Only qodesh priests could go into the temple (2 Chronicles 23:6). Many vessels and items in the Tabernacle and Temple areas were qodesh (Exodus 30:32-35). This word also describes Divine Holiness (Psalm 89:35). In the New Testament, the word is used for the saints and for followers of the messiah (Colossians 1:2; Colossians 1:26; Ephesians 1:1) and is often translated as “believers” and “people of God”.
